MA Edn, MA Eng, & MA Mizo & Cultural Studies) and 8 UG Programs {BBA,

The ICFAI University, Mizoram (IUM) was established in 2006 through an Act
of State Legislature (Mizoram Act No.4 of 2006). The University has been
recognised by the University Grants Commission, under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and for the award
of degree under Section 22 of UGC
Act 1956. Besides, the university is
the member of Association of Indian
Universities (AIU), New Delhi, as well
as the Association of Commonwealth
Universities (ACU), London. Within a
short span of 16 years the university
has established itself as one of the
leading institute for providing quality
higher and professional education in
the region.
We have a well qualified and experienced
faculty, who are committed to provide
quality education. Around 39% of
faculty members of the university
are having Ph.D. Degree, 18% have
Ph.D. and M.Phil. Degree, 11% have
M. Phil. Degree, and around 25% of
the faculty members are registered
for their Ph.D., and are at different
stages of their work. Our faculty
has been regularly publishing their
research work in refereed and UGC
CARE List Journals. The University has
been organising many state, national
and international level seminars,

redesigned its UG and PG curriculum,
and has made them more and more
vocational and skill based for better
employability and greater productivity.
The university has drafted its LOCF
Based CBCS for all its UG and PG
Programs with the provision for
multiple exits and multiple entries
for the convenience of students as
recommended by NEP 2020. The
university has already adopted the
UGC Ph.D. Regulations 2022, and all
its Ph.D. Programs shall be governed
by theses regulations.
