The Bachelor of Arts (Honours)
Program in Geography examines the
relationship between society and
environment seeking to understand
the complex connection between
people and places. Practical and
field classes offers the students the
opportunity to explore and examine
geographical issues and problems
Duration : Three years.
Award of Degree:
Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded the “Bachelor of Arts (Honours)” Degree in Geography by the University.
Pass in Class XII (any discipline) with minimum 40% aggregate marks. Final year students awaiting results may also apply.
The BA (Honours) in Geography program consists of 28 courses covered in six semesters spread over three years including an Undergraduate dissertation. Students will be required to complete 18 core subjects in addition to 5 Choice Based Electives and 5 Compulsory Papers. Students are additionally required to complete two summer projects at the end of Year-I and Year-II respectively and an Internship in the sixth semester. Electives will be choice based electives from other disciplines.
