• The first IUM e-Newsletter ‘Lungdawh’ was released by the Chancellor Prof. Y.R. Haragopal Reddy at the 11th Convocation of ICFAI University Mizoram in 2023.
• The word ‘Lungdawh’ is a Mizo term. It is a community gathering place and almost every traditional Mizo village has at least one ‘Lungdawh’. It is common in all traditional villages where in some villages they put some memorial stone pillars at Lungdawh. The idea of Lungdawh as an E-Newsletter is that it signifies a memorial activity that the University faculty, staff and students have endured during their stay at the University.
• The term ‘Lungdawh’ as the name of the E-Newsletter is proposed by Vanlalṭana Khiangte, HoD Mizo and Cultural Studies. The editorial board thanks him for his valuable contribution to the fraternity of ICFAI University Mizoram.
