ICFAI was founded in 1984 by Mr. N.J. Yasaswy with the aim to empower students in India with a world class education.
Over the years, the ICFAI Group has made its mark in India’s education landscape with a pan-Indian network of 11 Universities, 9 Business Schools, 9 Law Schools, 7 Tech Schools and 3 decades in Flexible Learning. With over 40 years of excellence in education, ICFAI Group has a rich legacy of academic achievements, groundbreaking research, and a strong network of successful alumni.

- 2022 10th Convocation of ICFAI University, Mizoram, was conducted
- 2015 Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was established
- 2006 The ICFAI University Mizoram was established
- 2003 The First ICFAI University, Dehradun was setup in the state of Uttarakhand
- 1995 The First ICFAI Business School was setup in Hyderabad
- 1985 ICFAI’s first professional program in financial analysis was launched
