Award

Students who successfully complete the four-year program will be awarded the Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours/Research Degree by the University.

The BBA Program is categorized into 8 semesters in Four years. Students are required to complete courses equivalent to 169 credits during the entire course duration for the award of BBA degree with Honours/Research. Students will also have multiple exit options as follows:

Certificate in Business Administration (CBA)

Student who exits after the first year/two semesters with the completion of courses equivalent to 43 credits will be eligible for the award of Certificate in Business Administration.

Diploma in Business Administration (DBA)

Student who exits after the second year/four semesters with the completion of courses equivalent to 87 credits will be eligible for the award of Diploma in Business Administration.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Student who exits after the third year/six semesters with the completion of courses equivalent to 129 credits will be eligible for the award of Bachelor of Business Administration.

Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours/Research (BBA Honours/ Research)

After third year/six semesters a student may opt to pursue Honours or Research in the fourth and final year. Student who completes four years/eight semesters with the completion of courses equivalent to 169 credits will be eligible for the award of Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours/ Research.

The Four-year BBA Honours course includes 21 Disciplinary Major Papers

8 Disciplinary Minor Papers; 3 Multidisciplinary Elective Papers; 6 Ability Enhancement Course papers; 8 Skill Enhancement Course papers; and 4 Value Added Courses.

The Four-year BBA Research course includes 17 Disciplinary Major Papers

8 Disciplinary Minor Papers; 3 Multidisciplinary Elective Papers; 6 Ability Enhancement Course papers; 10 Skill Enhancement Course papers; and 4 Value Added Courses. The student pursuing BBA Research has to undertake Dissertation in the final year (7th and 8th semester).

Admission Modalities

The Admission Modalities are with reference to the campus-based, BBA Program offered by the ICFAI University, Mizoram. The medium of instruction is English.

Eligibility

Passed in Class XII (any discipline) with minimum 40% aggregate marks. Final year students awaiting final examinations results may also apply.

Students of Class XII who have not received the original certificates from the Board by August 03, 2026 will be admitted provisionally. Their admission will be confirmed subject to their passing the qualifying examination and obtaining minimum 40% marks. The registration of the applicants not meeting the criteria by september 15, 2026 will be cancelled and admission fee will be forfeited and only 50% of the semester fee will be refunded after notifying the cancellation of the seat by the University.

The selection of applicants into the Program is made through screening of applications and interview. While evaluating students for admission, due weightage is given to their academic distinction, awards in sports/cultural events, debates, quizzes and other extra co-curricular activities.

Original certificates and Domicile certificate should be produced for verification at the time of payment of first semester fee. The original certificates will be returned after verification.

The admission decision will be communicated after the interview.

A special provision shall be made for the reservation of 5% of seats in every program for the admission of students with disabilities.

The applicants are advised to read the guidelines carefully before completing the Application Form for Admission.

  • Provide all the available information under appropriate sections.
  • Make sure to sign the Application Form.
  • Retain a photocopy of the completed Application Form.

Applicants have to enclose attested copies of the following certificates (Attestation should be done by any Gazetted Officer/Principal of the College).

  • Marks sheet of Class X onwards
  • Migration Certificate
  • Any other certificates pertaining to academic and other activities.
  • Please paste your recent passport size colour photograph on the Application Form.

Fee Schedule

Admission Fee

Admission Fee of Rs. 5,000 for BBA Program is to be paid by all the selected candidates immediately after the admission decision is announced. The last date for payment of Admission Fee is July 31, 2026. Admission fee for BBA Program is non-refundable.

Caution Deposit

All students are required to pay a Caution Deposit of Rs. 5,000 along with the first semester fee. The caution deposit will be refunded without interest to the students on completion of the program. Caution Deposit shall not be adjusted to any fee dues etc.

Program Fee

The Program fee includes Semester Fee and excludes the cost of courseware and other fee. Students should pay the Fee at the beginning of each semester, as per the due dates which will be indicated in the Student Handbook. The first semester fee is to be paid on or before July 31, 2026.

NJY Merit Scholarships

The ICFAI University, Mizoram offers NJY Merit Scholarships to students pursuing the BBA program. These scholarships are based on past academic record and semester-wise performance.

Percentage of marks achieved in Class XII (or equivalent) for BBA program will decide the amount of scholarship. Scholarship will continue semester after semester only on maintaining a minimum 6.0 GPA in the previous semester. The details are presented in the following table.
